About

A designer who came in through the code.

I'm Muralidhar Reddy Remala — UX, UI and product designer in Hyderabad. A B.Tech in Computer Science, the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, and a habit of putting things in front of real people before they get built.

01 — The long version

How I got here

I studied Computer Science and Engineering at Malla Reddy University. Building Digital MRUH — a canteen and stationery booking app for the campus, on the MERN stack — showed me the part I actually cared about was the ordering flow students had to get through between classes, not the stack underneath it.

So I trained in design properly, through the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, and put it to work. EaseUp is a mental wellness app for students, built on the Hook Model with daily mood check-ins, streaks and a supportive community. FindStay helps people travelling for work find stays, food and services in an unfamiliar city. Both went from research and personas to interactive Figma prototypes.

The engineering never went away. Knowing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React keeps my designs buildable and makes the handoff to developers a conversation rather than a negotiation.

02 — How I work

Four moves, in order

The same sequence on every project, whether it ends in a prototype or a shipped build.

  1. 01

    Understand the people first

User research, competitive analysis and pain-point analysis, until the problem is about behaviour rather than features.

    • User research
    • Competitive analysis
    • Pain points
  2. 02

    Turn findings into focus

Personas, empathy maps and user journey maps that keep every later decision tied to a real person.

    • Personas
    • Empathy maps
    • Journey maps
  3. 03

    Structure, then surface

Information architecture, sitemaps and user flows first; wireframes, visual design and typography on top, with accessibility and responsive behaviour built in.

    • IA & sitemaps
    • User flows
    • Wireframes
    • Design systems
  4. 04

    Prototype, test, hand off

Interactive Figma prototypes and usability testing, then a developer handoff informed by front-end knowledge.

    • Figma prototypes
    • Usability testing
    • Dev handoff
